Stanley Rihn Obituary
Stanley Ernest Rihn, age 78 of La Coste, passed away on Dec. 26, 2016. The oldest of two children of Ernest and Lillian Rihn, Stanley was born in Castroville, on Nov. 11, 1938. In 1956 he graduated from St. Louis Catholic School. He married Elaine Rose Pollok, on Apr. 25, 1963. They were married for over 53 years and were blessed with five children and six grandchildren. After serving in the U.S. Army, Stanley returned home to take over the family farm and ranch between Castroville and La Coste. He loved farming and ranching and devoted his life to these activities. He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Carole "Dolly" Rihn Schulte. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Pollok Rihn; son, Dirk Rihn; daughters, Cheryl (Warren) Schott, Stacy Bippert, Marcy Rihn, Kerrie (Brian) McCool; grandchildren, Austin and Cameron Schott, Holden and Hadley Bippert, and Spencer and Raegan McCool. Visitation will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. The Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday, Dec. 30, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Louis Catholic Church. Interment will be at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
