Stella Collins

Stella Collins, age 88, passed into the Lords' hands peacefully, July 20, 2005. Stella was born in Moody, Texas on February 18, 1917. She married Emzy Collins in 1936, and moved to San Antonio in 1952 where she resided until 2003. Stella then moved to Devine, Texas into an assisted living home and later to a local nursing facility. While living in San Antonio, she was very active in her church, Belaire Baptist, and later Mayfield Park Baptist. After moving to Devine, she joined Natalia Baptist. Stella was preceded in death by her husband Emzy; granddaughter, Katrina Renee McCartney; parents, Elmer and Elizabeth Tilley; brothers, Theo, Cleveland, and Ray; and sister, Irene Mullins. Survivors include her sister, Leota Huckaby; sister-in-law, Marguere Nettleton; children, LaVon Hausamann and her husband, Erwin "Skip" of Endicott, N.Y., Rogene Cupp and her husband Charles Stephen of Devine, Texas, Robert Glenn and his wife, Kathy of San Antonio, and Sandra West Outlaw of Devine, Texas; grandchildren, Debbie Buglione, Eric Hausamann, Jennifer Cubic, Melissa Cupp, Daniel Cupp, Cowboy Collins, and Rowdy Collins; and 15 great-grandchildren. Stella will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2005 from 6:00 P.M. - 9:00 P.M. at the Southside Funeral Home.
