On Thursday July 30th, 2020 Stephen Joseph Dalmolin, loving father of three, passed away at the age of 70. Steve was born on November 18th, 1949 in San Antonio, Texas to Joe and Helen Dalmolin and made his living in both San Antonio and Dallas.
Steve had a passion for making people laugh. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and win them over quickly with his personality. Steve had a kind heart and took pleasure in giving. He especially loved making and sharing food for friends, neighbors and community services. His humor and generosity will be greatly missed.
Steve was preceded in death by his mother Helen, father Joe, sister Jeri and brother Joe Jr. He is survived by his children: Stacey Dalmolin, Joe Dalmolin and Michael Dalmolin. Siblings: Angie Peterson, Christine Brown, Phillip Dalmolin, Joanne Haywood and Marc Dalmolin. Steve was blessed with four grandchildren: Anthony, Kali, Andrew and Nicolas.
A private graveside service is planned, and the family look forward to a larger celebration of Steve's life with plenty of food and laughter next year.

Hard to believe you have been gone 2 years. I miss you so much old friend but think of you often. Find myself using your words "buenas tortillas" but wishing I was hearing them from you. To "Krysta" who posted on your guest book 08/14/2020..I remember Steve being in line at the cafeteria at Fenwick Elem. pulling up his shirt and doing his famous belly roll..making everyone laugh. What a character...miss you, love you..GOD BLESS you..save me a chair old friend..until then "buenos tortillas".

Steve was our next door neighbor growing up and visiting his Dad Joe's home on Westminster Ave.
He was always making jokes, silly & witty. I was really young but will never forget the Dalmolin family! Please let me know when the family will be celebrating his life next year. I would love to bring my Shirley Garza (Mom) & Brenda Garza Reinemund (sister). The Garza family sends their Condolences and Sympathy to the Dalmolin families! God Bless!

I met Steve, thru Phil. I immediately felt welcomed by him. He will always teased me and I will always laughed at his jokes. I remembered the time when Angi visited and Steve was there too, and my belly was hurting from laughing too much from these two siblings. He will always makes sure he gives me something even the smallest, trivial trinket he will find when we visit. I will miss you, Steve. There would be no more pain, you can rest in peace.

I will miss you uncle Steve. I remember us rolling our tummies together. Mine is bigger than your but hey I could keep up. I also remember us sticking our tongue out at each other. You will still be the life of the party even though you are gone. I’m actually still in shock as I was with aunt Jeri and uncle Joe. My heart is with my cousins and Dalmolin family. So cheers to my tummy rolling, tongue sticking out uncle. I love you and always will! God speed uncle Steve!

Steve, thank you for instilling the love of family in your children. You were blessed with three wonderful children that you were extremely proud of, and rightfully so. I'm blessed to have been welcomed into the family through the marriage of my daughter, Sarah, to your son, Michael. I know how proud you were of the four beautiful grandchildren they have brought into the world, and that they loved their "daddy-o."

Steve will be missed by MANY people who loved him, worked with him and knew his kind heart. He loved his CHILDREN and FAMILY so very much! My heart is so sad for all of you. Steve also loved coming up with ideas for the "Next greatest thing ever" which always made me smile. We had many adventures together and created a lot of memories. I loved him with all of my heart and will certainly miss him more than I can express. Condolences to the Dalmolin's in this time of grief. Prayers for all of you to have peace that he is now at rest.

I didn't know Stephen Dalmolin. I was in the Air Force with his brother Phil in the early '70's at Randolph. Phil often spoke so fondly of his siblings and his parents and growing up in San Antonio. It was obvious the Dalmolin's were a great American family. So, to all of Stephen's immediate family and to the extended Dalmolin family, my wife Sandi and I wish to express our sincere condolences to you all. Roger Truitt, Columbus, Georgia.20200811.

I first met Steve in 1957 at Fenwick Elem. We spent six yrs. as best friends playing cowboys and Indians, baseball, riding our bikes ( no helmets). We visited each others homes and spent numerous hours at University Drug store at the soda fountain. We then attended Mann Jr. High for three yrs. So for the first nine yrs. of school we were close. We each then attended rival High Schools and kinda lost touch. We reunited in the early 70's both attending SAC and working part-time at the S.A. Zoo, boy that was so fun! Life happened and we lost touch for over 30yrs. I would learn how my friend was doing from a mutual friend who grew up across the street from Steve's childhood home. When Steve moved back to SA he called me and we began to hang out together occasionally. We would go to lunch arguing over who served the best Mexican food. We agreed to honor his request to go visit the Alamo and Zoo went this pandemic was over. I'm so sorry my friend that I couldn't fulfill that request. I thank GOD for giving you to me as a best friend for most of our lives. Going to miss you and your humor. I love you, GOD BLESS you and rest in peace old friend. All my condolences to your family and friends. As you always said to me "Buenas Tortillas!"
