Steve was a wonderful brother-in-lawinteresting, brilliant, chill, funny and a wonderful musician. Some of my best times with Steve were when he and Faye stayed with Keith and me on Logan Street in Round Rock, when I worked with those crazy guys for a spell, attempting to do some sort of sheet rocking (which I knew nothing about), laughing over Spinal Tap and Strange Brew and making music as a family when Mom and Dad (Faye and Morris)lived on Mesa Drive. Please Please Me and The Boxer were my very favorites. I remember when my sister and best friend Faye fell in love with Steve and his music; sure enough, her dream was realized. Thanks, Steve! Sarah, Chris and Tory are such wonderful legacies you leave, and the memories of you in our family.......I hold ever so tightly. I am crying, but smiling now. Keep on playing, Music Man.

Steve was my brother-in-law and a wonderful friend. He was always true to himself and to his art. Steve was extremely funny, and I have far too many memories to recount. Thank you Steve for giving us Tory, for fulfilling so many of Faye's dreams, for letting me sing "Please Please Me" with you; it surely was fun. See you on that big stage in heaven someday--keep smiling. Love 'ya, Mary

A good friend and great musician, we followed Steve's career as fans and friends from the early 1970s. We miss that music and that friendship.
