Steven Cole Obituary

February 25, 1962 - August 1, 2018
Steven Edward Cole passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018, after a brief illness. He was 56 years old. Steven was born in Berea, Ohio on February 25, 1962, moving to San Antonio as a teenager, where he spent his remaining years. Steven loved God, his family, friends, fishing, gardening, the Dallas Cowboys, San Antonio Spurs, and Cleveland Indians. His advice to getting through life's ups and downs was always,

"You have to get right with God".

Steven was preceded in death by sister Karen Louise Cole, and parents Lillian Parrett and Norman Cole.

Steven is survived by his stepson Daniel Austin, Daniel's mother, Soña Theis; sisters and brothers Gail Cheek (Randall), Nancy Roby (Clay), Maria Wallace, Lynda Smith, Ruth Ann Schiela, Norman Cole, Kenneth Cole, Patricia Pratt, Elisabeth Lawson, and Renee Smith; and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He will be greatly missed.

Services will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 10:30 A.M., St George Episcopal Church, 6900 West Avenue, San Antonio, Texas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the charity of your choice, or to the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI).

A wonderful, loving, beautiful brother who gave the best hugs a gal could ask for. May you be at peace and know that you are loved.

My beloved brother, you will be missed but I know you are at peace with God and enjoying being in His loving presence. I'll remember you fishing, eating cherries and pistachios, enjoying Dallas Cowboys football, Spurs basketball and Cleveland Indians baseball. As difficult as your life was you were an inspiration to others and you showed many how having Faith and Trust in God will guide them through life and help them heal.

Ephesians 4:23-24

Forever you will be in my heart and an Angel of God

"I have peace, power, love and a calm and well-balanced mind because I trust God. I don't worry about anything, instead, I pray about everything and God blesses me by giving me His peace."
Love,

I remember when Steven drove truck he made sure to come visit me. Steve was the best I've ever seen him. In that visit Steve was very instrumental in leading me to get it right with God . I always go back to that visit and remember the gift of Steven that God gave me. Steven, you are at peace and you're whole. I look forward to our next visit dear cousin. You will always be loved.
