Steven Hough Obituary

November 17, 1984 - May 14, 2015
Steven Michael "Mike" Hough, age 30, went to be with the Lord Jesus at 3:45 P.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2015. Jesus whispered his name and said "come Home My son". Mike went suddenly without any warning and was with his family who loved him. Mike loved life and lived it to the fullest. He was a gentle giant with a winning smile. He pursued every one of his dreams - Wrestling, Stand Up Comedy and more recently, his undergraduate Degree. Most importantly he was a loving Father, Husband to be, Son and Brother. Mike was a graduate of St. Gregory the Great and Antonian High School and an aspiring Journalist at Texas A & M University San Antonio. Mike is survived by his beautiful daughter, Sienna and fiancé, Felicia "in our hearts you will always be our Superman"; mother, Bernadette; father, Steve; brother, Brandon; stepfather, Mike; stepmother, Wendy; grandmothers, Christine & Lela Mae; his numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins from Ohio and his loving aunts, uncles and cousins in Ireland: Veronica, Joan, Mary, Cathy, Chris, Dave and Andy; and especially his cousin, Frank Hughes with whom he had a special bond. He will be missed by his step siblings: Leah, Lauren, Chris and Andy as well as by Grandma Wooley. Mike will be the missing link to his many close friends, too many to name but you know who you are, including the Ruiz family. God Bless you my darling, you showed me the meaning of love. - Mom.

My condolences to the entire family. Hearing of Mike's passing was a blow; he was far too young. God needed another angel and He knows best. Praying for strength and comfort to all. I met Mike for the first time in 2013 and his father's wedding. He always had a smile on his face and had me laughing the whole night! Rest In Heaven cousin.

Mike you made a spectacular entrance into the world in Germany at 24ins .Your Mum must have known her work was cut out to keep up with this little guy.Grandad and Granny were the first to welcome you to your Irish family and bring home the long awaited photo's to us all.The first time I met you you were putting your own version of Grandad's Army Drill, the 2 of you exercising with 2 sweeping brushes in the back garden in Blanchardstown. At one stage you made an attempt to vault over the wall to see if anything more exciting was happening out side the garden. Then you came back to Ireland when you were about 9yrs. The weather was absolutly fabulous and e went on hol's to Kerry with Mary and her girl's ,and I have lovely photo's of yourself,James and Rory sleeping on the settee.I had so many lovely holiday's with you and your Mam.One holiday you jumped into my case with your placard saying ' to Ireland ' .Another time you took me shopping to down town San Antoio,we got separated for 3 hour's and when we met up ,you gave me the biggest hug, saying '. How could I have told Mom that I had lost you'.The joke we had in the car with your friend's with the whoopee cushion and we laughed. On another occasion I had to wear a Doo Rag with one arm in my jacket to get you to take me shopping.Wsa it that year I promised to send you a card every month for the following year and happily I did.The lovely photos in may of you at Rory's wedding, the last time you were home, and the laugh we had as you recalled your antic's in O Connell street after your stand up comedy at the laughter lounge .How you could say I'm Grand in your Irish accent How handsome you looked walking you Mam
down the aisle on her wedding. The last time I had a laugh with you was when you drove Aunty Mary and I to Galveston and we all stayed the night. The fantastic portrait cousin Alex did for you,we will all want one.
Too too many memories we have of you on on this side of the Atlantic
Felicia and Sienna will be supported by her and your many friends.Your Mam will also be supported by her family and friends.Baby Sienna shares your big ,lovely smile, and will be a big support to her Mam and Grandmother.
Sleep well Darling Mike, meet up with Grandad and Shane and give them a big hug from me
Lots and Lot's of love
Aunty Joan ,cousins and 2nd cousins

I went through my photo album last night and remembered my friend. You can see it in his face, the light-hearted nature of the gentle giant. Such a clown and absolute joy to be around. Always gonna have a big space in my heart, brother. Love you, Mike. Someone please let me know how I can send more of these photos to the family. I have 13 more already scanned, just need an email address.
