Suzanne Moczygemba Obituary

Suzanne Moczygemba
May 4, 1942 - April 20, 2025
Suzanne Veronica Moczygemba, "Suzi" to her friends and that was everyone, was born in Farrell, PA on May 4, 1942. She went home to our resurrected Lord on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025, in Granbury, Texas, celebrating Easter in person and dying peacefully after deciding to stop medications and allow her body to do naturally what it was trying to do.
Suzi was a registered nurse for over fifty years, much of that time in ICU, and ended her career helping Humana's insureds receive their benefits.
Suzi was preceded in death by her devoted and adored daughter, Veronica Moczygemba; both of her parents, John Harakal, Sr. and Suzanne Baron Harakal; and three of her brothers, John Jr., George, and David Harakal. She is survived by one brother, James Harakal; two nieces, Cora Werley and Jane Phillips; and three nephews, Mark, David, and Jeff Harakal.
Meals on Wheels and Catholic Charities knew they could rely on Suzi to bring quick laughs and loving support to their clients, and many of her friends were involved with her. She loved laughing, playing dominos, spending time with friends and extended family, and making beauty in beads and stained glass.
The family thanks the staff at The Cove at Waterview and Interim Hospice in Granbury for their kind and loving support during her final days.
Her funeral will be held at St. Matthews Catholic Church at 10703 Wurzbach Rd, San Antonio, TX, on May 6th, 2025, at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Meals on Wheels or Catholic Charities.
