SCOTT

Timothy Andrew "Drew" Scott

Timothy Andrew "Drew" Scott went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2010 following a tragic vehicle accident on January 2. In the days before his death he was surrounded by his family and friends and he has been continually raised in thousands of prayers across the country. He was in the prime of his life and looking forward to beginning an education and career in nursing while continuing his successful personal training business, MuscularInnervations (Trade Marked), and his lifelong goal of helping others. Drew was born on October 29, 1980 in Houston, TX; is survived by his mother Lee and father Tim of Lake Jackson, TX; his brother Casey and sister in law Courtney of Fort Worth; grandmothers Donna Scott of Seymour, IN and Alice Lee Boyer of Tucson, AZ and aunts and uncles Richard Boyer, Barbie Boyer, Kim and Chris Hirtzel, and LuAnn and Allan Maddy. Drew was loved by all and touched the hearts of many in his short time on this earth. He was vibrant and lived life to its fullest. He had a strong faith and served God by helping others achieve their personal goals in improving their fitness, recovering from injuries, or simply providing a friendly listening ear or his beloved smile. He was simply a caring person - for people, the environment or animals. He loved his family and his Golden Retrievers - Reilee and Harley - and his many friends. Even in his untimely death Drew continued to help others as an organ donor and helped dozens of unknown recipients improve their health and extend life. Drew will be remembered by many for his wit and humor, smile, honesty and compassion, and his family values. He will be missed by many, but never forgotten and always loved. Memorial services will be held at the Alamo Heights United Methodist Church at 825 East Basse Road in San Antonio, Texas, on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 2 pm. In lieu of flowers, remembrances and donations can be made to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, Bexar County, 202 Baltimore Avenue, San Antonio, Texas 78215, www.bigmentor.org and will be dedicated to the Community Based Program to help match children with mentors for fun and educational activities.

We are the parents of Meredith Elizondo. Drew was always a "ray of sunshine" whenever we met him. He visited us at our lake home in Hot Springs, AR several times. Drew was always so kind, friendly, helpful and a joy to have join our fun "lake times". He was a friend in the truest sense of the word to both Meredith and Eric. Our hearts go out to all of your family. You must be proud to have had such an honorable, caring, cheerful son. Your family will be in our continued prayers. Sincerely, Luther and Dana Lewis

My son, Donovan, has been training with Drew for the last year. We are in shock at his passing. He was a friend, mentor and an excellent trainer. Donovan enjoyed and looked forward to seeing Drew every week. He learned so much from him and has grown and matured with Drew's positive influence. He was a great example to my son. We feel blessed that we were privileged to know him. We will miss him very much. Our prayers are with his family .....I cannot imagine your sorrow at his tragic passing. Your son was a great man.

I don't have many childhood memories with drew, but my brother Daniel grew up with him playing baseball together. I always thought it was quite strange but cool when I found out he moved next door to my Aunt and Uncle who lives 3 1/2 hrs. away from where we all grew up. My thoughts and prayers are with the Scott family in this time of grief.

I did not know Drew long. He came to me two years ago to have his taxes prepared and I was very, very impressed with this young man and felt he would go far. It is so sad to lose someone so young and with such great potential. Margo Lacarde (San Antonio)
