Virginia Arguello Obituary

Virginia T. Arguello, 54, born May 21, 1951 to Rejino Talamantez and Antonia S. Talamantez, went to be with the Lord on October 9, 2005, after a battle with kidney cancer. She dedicated her life to raising her four children and grandchildren. The last of her 24 years she was the manager of the local Dairy Queen on Zarzamora and Gillette. She was full of life and energy, not one to stay in one place too long, but long enough to make friends who eventually became family. She is survived by her daughters: Rita Ann Reyes (son-in-law Johnny), Lisa Ann T. Morales, Patricia Ann Portillo (son-in-law Spc Paul), and her only son, Frank Ray T. Arguello (daughter-in-law Jennifer Marie). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Amber Michele Reyes, Mathew Justin Reyes, Gavin Ray Arguello Rodriguez, Elijah Ray David Arguello, Alyson Nicole Portillo, and Juliana Rose Marie Arguello. She also leaves behind her best friend Stella Sanchez and David & Leticia Morales, former spouse Frank L. Arguello and her loving companion of many years Nick Garza. She is survived by her brothers Mario S. Talamantez and Rejino Talamantez, Jr. and family. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews, cousins and many friends near and far. Special thanks to Christus Hospice for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation will start on Wednesday, October 12 at 1:00 pm with a rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral procession will depart Brookehill Funeral Home at 10:30 am on Thursday, October 13 for a Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 am at St. Leonard's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at First Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Brookehill Funeral Home.
