What a pleasure to have been able to call myself a friend of this gentleman & his beautiful Kay ! I met Wayne & Kathryn when Glenna led them to our Sunday School Class & had to run back to Choir. He introduced himself saying "his cup runneth over", we were all blessed to hear him speak with his Godly wisdom.
Kay & Wayne joined us in our weekly Game Day & it gave us all
the opportunity to fellowship, listening to his countless stories
& jokes without ever forgetting the punch lines was remarkable!
Kay said once, I've heard those jokes for so long and I still love
to hear them & they're still funny ! She had a cute little giggle
& she never argued with Wayne, especially if she was winning
whatever game we were playing & he was still trying to explain
to her what she was doing "wrong"...:-) What great memories I
have of them, I smile just thinking of them !
Yes, his penmanship was incredible, he was intelligent, caring , helpful etc., but I choose to remember how he loved his God & his Kathryn dearly, and God blessed him with a wonderful loving family
who serve the Lord !
What joy to know he & Kay are together again in the presence of
our Lord & Savior JESUS !

What a lovely man. I had the pleasure of helping Mr. Brooks occasionally when he and his wife moved to San Antonio. He was filled with joy and always had a delightful story or playful joke to share. He will be missed.
