William Jarzombek Obituary
William (Bill) Edward Jarzombek passed away on Sunday June 19, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 76. He was born on February 2, 1940 in Helena, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Victor Jarzombek and Helen (Broll) Jarzombek; and sister, Agnes (Jarzombek) Keller.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice (Janacek) Jarzombek, and three sons and their wives; Chris and Leslie (Ramirez) Jarzombek of Santa Rosa California, Martin and Jenny Jarzombek of Claremont California, and Eric and Mary Ann Jarzombek of San Antonio Texas. Five grandchildren; Jessica Jarzombek, Michael Ramirez, Eliza Jarzombek, Brandon Jarzombek, and Erika Jarzombek.
Bill loved to experience the world; a passion that developed during his 26 years in the USAF as a loadmaster, and countless hours on his boat, fishing.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm at the Schertz Funeral Home, 2217 F.M. 3009 Schertz TX 78154.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 10:00am at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1065 East Live Oak Road, Schertz TX 78154 followed by interment services at Selma Cemetery #2 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 16075 N. Evans Road, Selma TX 78154
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Incarnate Word Sisters (African Missions Fund), 1101 E. Water St. Victoria TX 77901 or to a charity of one's choice.

Okinawa 1968-May 1970: A great Hercules C-130 aircraft Flight Examiner, taught me so much about the C-130. Many flights out of Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam, airdropping supplies/resupplies to ground forces.
An outstanding racket ball player. Every week when at our home base (Naha, Okinawa), Monday - Friday we would be at the gym playing against each other. He had NO mercy on anyone on the racket ball court.
He had a wonderful family during his lifetime. My son Cody remembers Chris and Marty so well during our Okinawa days.
I have regrets not staying in touch with Bill once we left the Air Force. A true friend and pal, I will miss him.
