Worked with Fred in the soil and water conservation field since 1979. He was the classic example of a hard working farmer dedicated to preserving and enhancing our natural resources while at the same time recognizing the need to keep farming viable. Fred believed it was his duty and vitally important to speak out when he saw waste and abuse of taxpayers money, especially when it came to water conservation. He strongly advocated for the needs of south Santa Clara County when it came to flood control and water conservation planning. Fred and Bessy were always friendly and welcoming and a great source of historical information related to farming, land use and resource conservation. Thanks for the memories and education Fred.

Richard and Judy: Sorry to hear of your father's passing. He was such an amazing man who was so knowledgeable about mechanics and machinery. My father, Mike Miguel would always call on Mr. Angelino when he had a problem with his farm equipment. He was so amazed at my father who continued to farm in his 80's and 90's and yet your dad lived beyond that time. As a history teacher, I enjoyed his stories about his service in WWII. RIP Mr. Angelino.

Condolences and prayers from the Louis Masoni Sr. Family. Our Dad, Louis, spent a lot time with Fred in WWII in Southern Italy, and back in Gilroy farming and fabricating including the fork lifts they made from Model A truck and hydraulics from B-17 airplanes, ours still runs. We always enjoyed talking and visiting Fred and his wife. And at 100 years old he attended the return of my Uncle Frank Masoni after 74 years of being missing from WWII on Tarawa, Japan. Rest in peace our friend.
