Andrew Wayne Dobransky

DOBRANSKY ANDREW WAYNE Andrew Wayne Dobransky of Lakeside, October 17, 1985 to April 8, 2003, was taken from our lives much much too early in a motor vehicle crash. Andrew was a senior at El Capitan High School. He previously attended Lakeside Middle School and Eucalyptus Hills Elementary School. Andy had a passion for soccer and played for the Hotspurs USA Soccer Club on Under 17 team that had just successfully moved into the premier bracket. He also played three years on the El Capitan Varsity Boys soccer team. When not playing soccer, Andy enjoyed precision team roller-skating and snowboarding on weekends with his family in Big Bear. Some of Andy ' s greatest traits were his bright smile, his high-spirited energy and his contagious enthusiasm for life. Andy could always find the positive and could always make you laugh. He was always ready to help and eager to please. He was, is and will always be loved by everyone that knew him. As Andy ' s closest friends and family will attest, Andy was the best of the best. Andy ' s contagious personality and love for fun endeared him to many, and as such he was known by many different names to different people, some of which include, ``Andyroo, ' ' ``Drew and ``Tumor. ' ' Andy is survived by his parents Jack and Cheri Dobransky of Lakeside, his birthmother Beth Mitzerfelt of Idaho, his brother Brian, his stepbrothers Chris and Matt, and his grandfather John Dobransky. It is really remarkable and a vast accomplishment that someone so young touched so many lives in such a positive way. Andy is loved and will be missed by all and will live on in our hearts and minds. Viewing will be held Friday, April 11, 2003 from 4-9 p.m. at Lakeside Santee Funeral Chapel. A memorial Mass and service will be held Saturday, April 12 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lakeside. The family has set up and requests that donations be made in his memory to provide a soccer scholarship fund to support other youth who share in Andy ' s love of soccer.
