ANTHONY JOSEPH LIS

LIS, ANTHONY JOSEPH AKA: JIM, JIMMY May 20, 1927 to May 7, 2010 Tony was born in Detroit, Michigan, one of six brothers and four sisters. The only surviving sibling is Larry Lis of Julian, CA. Tony was a decorated Navy veteran of World War II and moved to San Diego after his service. Tony is also survived by his wife, Marian Pat Rodriguez (married May 13, 1993), four childran, Sandra, Tony, Bill and Diane by his first wife, Doris Covey, and four stepsons Joe, Tony, Tim and Steve Eskey. Tony also leaves 19 grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Tony was preceded in death by his eldest son, Edward. Tony had three great loves: Family, dancing and gambling. "Honey, we'll jitterbug together again someday." In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to your favorite charity and/or donate a pint of blood to the San Diego Blood Bank in Tony's name. A ceremony will be Monday, June 7th, at 10 a.m. at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery.
