Frank B was Base Commander at Reese AFB when I lost my first child. Bedgie, as Commander’ Wife, immediately came to the hospital, giving me the bracelet that she was wearing (which I treasure). A year later when I had a healthy baby, she gave me the biggest baby shower, ever. She was kind, glamorous and cheerful. She was classy, too. The world is a better place because she was in it. I’m gratified that she was here for ninety years.

Mrs. McKenzie was my 4th Grade teacher in Saudi Arabia from 1983-1984. The next year she was my little sisters teacher. She was by and away the best teacher I ever had. Tried for years to find her but without luck. A friend of mine from Dhahran Academy passed me this link today. Saddened to hear she passed away last year, especially knowing how easy it would have been for me to see her as I have lived many years in San Diego with the Navy. Would love to speak to her children and tell them how awesome she was as a teacher. Very very sorry and wish I had of had an opportunity to tell her how important she was to me and my sisters lives. Dear Edlene,
Although I only met your dear mother perhaps twice, the last time when I ran into you at Nordstorm having lunch several months ago, I was intrigued by your wonderful tribute to her in the paper. Her life was a somewhat like my mother's; they both met a handsome young fighter pilot and married soon after to begin a life in the Air Force.
Truly she had a life well lived.
My sympathies to you, Timmy and Emma.

What a beautiful tribune to a truly beautiful woman inside and out. I will miss her terribly, the laughs we shared and the food we passed back and forth. There is a hole in my heart for her.

We were just devastated over Bedgie's passing. She will always remain in our hearts and minds forever. She was a joy to be around because of her kindness, love
and sense of humor. She will be missed!❤
