Bill was a good friend all through Crawford. Bill, Althea McGregor, Rod Morris, Frank Culmone and I would go to to the malt shop at the corner of El Cajon and College almost every day. Frank & I some really good memories of those days. I married Frank 4 years ago and we talk about those days a lot. I'm so sorry to hear about his passing and so sorry we were never able to re-connect. Our sympathies to his family.

Cookie and family, I was reading the paper yesterday when I saw the name Bill Martin, and I thought that it couldn't be the Bill that I knew so many years ago.
Cookie I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I think about you often wondering what happen to my best friend from Jr. and High school.
I was happy to know that you and your wonderful Bill had so many happy years together.
I believe that you also lost your mother not so long ago, I wanted to contact you then but wasn't sure how to do it, I was so sorry to hear about her also.
Again I am so sorry about Bill and you and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Bill and I were close friends at Horace Mann and Crawford and remained friends after high school. We dated sisters, Karen and Lois Schmidt for several years. I married Lois in 1964 and lost her to a brain tumor in 2000. I have wonderful memories of many great times Bill and shared together.
You were a good friend.
