BB&B- last concert, 2014
June 18, 2015
Dear Barbara and family, I just heard of Chuck's passing, and I send my condolences to you all. Barbara, you may remember the meetings at your home in 2004 when Chuck was spearheading a grass roots effort to revive the Bach, Beethoven, and Brunch concert series in Mellon Park. I wanted to let you know that the 11th season of concerts since he got them started again will begin this Sunday, June 21, 2015. I'm still involved on behalf of the Squirrel Hill Urban Coalition, and I know it was Chuck's determination that secured funding that lasted many years and his ability to work with Citiparks staff that brought the music back to the East End. I will not forget him.

Could someone tell me if Dr. Coffey was born in Hazelwood? I went to grade school with a friend named Marvin Coffey. He was also a Boy Scout. Anyway, rest in peace Dr. Coffey.

I remember Dr. Coffey. Did you ever live on Darlington Rd. near Mulhatton. I was your paperboy and babysat for Chuck and Barbara's children while he was in dental school and thereafter. Fond memories. Sorrowful news.
