Christian Jorgensen Obituary

JORGENSEN CHRISTIAN LEE Chris Jorgensen was born in Escondido, Calif., on January 13, 1958. He was diagnosed with cancer in early August, 2003 and went to be with the Lord on September 9, 2003 at the age of 45 years. He was preceded in death by his father, Merle Jorgensen and brother Tom Jorgensen. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Patricia and Wayne Carey of Chula Vista, Calif.; sister Sherry Smith of Bonita, Calif.; daughters, Jolene and Kristy Jorgensen of El Cajon, Calif., and nephews Brian, Sean and Tyler Smith. Chris will be remembered as a star athlete at Hilltop High School as well as Southwestern College which he attended for two years following high school graduation in 1976. He was a skilled heavy equipment operator, working in the family construction business and for other firms until recent years when illness precluded full time employment. Graveside services were held at Greenwood Memorial Park on September 12, 2003. The family requests those wishing to honor him make donations in the name of Christian Jorgensen to San Diego Hospice, 4311 Third Avenue, San Diego, CA 92103 who provided such wonderful care.
