Claudia Reeder

Reeder, Claudia FALLBROOK -- Claudia, age 95, has gone to be with the Lord on May 14, 2015. She is survived by her two children, Ronald and Suzan Reeder Rogers; six grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Herman in 1996. Claudia was born and raised in Texas, as an only child. She became very skilled in dancing and acrobatics, which she considered doing professionally. Her parents had other plans and sent her off to college instead. She ultimately received a Master's degree in Education. Claudia spent most of her adult life in New Mexico - Melrose, Santa Fe, Las Cruces, and Albuquerque. She taught school in Santa Fe for 27 years and had a great influence on her young students. Claudia retired and moved to Las Cruces where she committed to daily exercising, reading three books a week, playing duplicate bridge, and working complex puzzle games. She also enjoyed water skiing most of her life with family and friends, and she took care of her mother for 36 years. She also became very active in supporting her churches. In 2004, she moved to Albuquerque to be with her daughter, Suzan and son-in-law, Charlie Rogers and continued with her activities. In 2014 she moved to Fallbrook, CA to be with her son, Ronald and daughter-in-law, Diane. Up through the age of 94, Claudia was able to engage in all the activities she started in retirement, including performing the full splits that she had learned in her youth...!!! Her positive outlook on life will long be remembered. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her. Memorial services will be held in Albuquerque on May 31st, at 2 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 314 Lead Avenue.
