I made a 13 month deployment to the Western Pacific with Dan as our chaplain. His ministry and personal magnetism helped make that deployment tolerable for me and my Marines. Just heard of Dan's passing -- Just so sorry to hear. I always will remember you, Dan -- the cheerful Lambda Chi with a 'wonderful' smile on the campus of Indiana U. -- who loved the Lord even during those early years. It was a blessing to know Dan. We met him at NMCSD as we were both there as civilian staff. We also shared with him at First Presbyterian Church San Diego. May our prayers support his family through these day of adjustment; and may be all look forward to our eternal life together.

Worked with Dan at SAIC. He could tell the best stories and watch out if he got a hold of your badge picture. Quite creative with the photoshop! He is missed. Too young to leave so soon. May his family find comfort in their memories.

Dan was a great neighbor and friend as our children grew up together in Oceanside. My 4 children and I have great memories of the nightly roller hockey games in the street. It was a sad day when He, Barbara and the girls moved away as they were a wonderful addition to our lives. Condolences to Barbara, Katie, Sarah and Emily. May God bless you during this time and I know God has blessed Dan with His special place.
