Francis Spahr Obituary

SPAHR, FRANCIS KAY Frances Kay Spahr, 88, died at Nazareth House, Thursday, November 9, 2006. She was born May 20, 1918, in Lima, Ohio to Michael and Helen Laughlin. She moved to San Diego with her husband and children in 1954. She worked for the County of San Diego, including the Board of Supervisors, for many years, retiring in 1980. She is survived by her five children, Michele Hall (Wayne), Kevin Spahr (Pornkanok), Shannon Spahr (Carol), Theresa Spahr and Reverend Matthew Spahr; four grandchildren, Glenn Newman, Craig Newman (Lana), Katherine and Andrew Spahr; three great-grandchildren, Courtny, Olivia and Samuel Newman. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Laughlin. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 14, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at the Immaculata Parish on the USD campus. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Nazareth House Retirement Home, 6333 Rancho Mission Rd., San Diego, 92108 or the United Cerebral Palsy Association.
