Freddie Sisario Obituary

Sisario, Freddie D. VISTA / OCEANSIDE Freddie Sisario passed away March 25, 2013. He was born September 5, 1939 in Amsterdam, New York, son of Anthony and Angelina Sisario. Freddie was a graduate of Amsterdam, N.Y. High School. He enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps, serving from 1959 to 1986, a 27 year career, with two tours of duty in Vietnam. He retired as a MGySgt in 1986, and continued in Civil Service. Freddie had a great love for his country, being very proud of his military service. He was a "Proud American!" He was known for being thrifty with money, and knew how to negotiate a good deal. He loved John Wayne and especially Italian food. His favorite pastimes were golf, casinos, cruises and bowling. Freddie was a member of the Vista American Legion, Post 365, and the Vista VFW, Post 7041. Freddie was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Felix Sisario. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl; brothers, John Sisario of Columbia, SC, and Frank Sisario of Atlantic Beach, Florida; sons, Justin (Christina) Sisario of Oceanside, Calif., and Grant (Rachel) Sisario of Olathe, Kan.; daughters, Corinne (Steve) Schipke of Vista, Calif., and DawnMarie (Dave) Lobaugh of Garden Grove, Calif; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 3pm., on Saturday, April 6, at Allen brothers Mortuary in Vista, Calif., followed by a Celebration of Life at 5pm., at the American Legion in Vista. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors.

Dear Sisario Family, My Prayers n thoughts go 2 U n ur family.Just remember the good days that U had with an awesome man, father, husband, brother n brothers n sisters that served with him in the USMC..We'll all miss him but the candle shows he's light in ur hearts.God Bless U
