George Dennis Quirk, Jr.

George Dennis Quirk Jr. was born December 28, 1943 and passed away on December 4, 2020 after suffering from a broken heart, having lost the love of his life Sharon, his wife of 52 years in June of this year. He was an only child and is proceeded in death by his parents, Katherine and George Sr. He is survived by his son, daughter, and two grandchildren.George graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego, Ca, Class of 1962. He was a patriot and served in the United States Navy as a DT3, his last duty assignment being Adak Alaska. He received a National Defense Service Medal and Honorable Discharge from service in 1968. Mr. Quirk graduated with a B.A. in Applied Counseling, 1969 and a M.S. in Counseling, 1970 San Diego State University. George went on to work for the State of California Department of Rehabilitation. He Retired in 1993. George was an avid fisherman and proud member of the NRA. He will privately be laid to rest at Miramar National Cemetery on December 28, 2020, His 77th.
