Still missing you as a neighbor and good friend. It’s hard to believe that you have been gone this long already.

I'm so sorry that we did not know of Trude's passing. We had first known her when my sister and I were little and visited family in Chicago. Mr Hoffman was next door neighbor to my Great Aunt Ada and Uncle Ike Heilbron in the hotel. We have some of Trude's childhood toys which hold places of honor in our homes.
My husband and I were blessed to have visited her when we came from Peru for our son's college graduation there in CA in May of 2012. She was already bed-ridden by then, but we were still able to talk of old times. May God bless and keep her.

Trude, my closes and dearest friend. In Our twenty years together we smiled, laugh, joke, confide in each other, disagreed, agreed and disagreed yet again. We Always had each others back and I'm so sorry I wasn't able to be there in your final day, and I want to thank you for the great trust you had in me.
Trude you were my mentor,Teacher, companion, mother and most of all, The Best friend anyone could ever have. In My heart you hold the highest honor ever given and god knows how much I miss you.
Go with God my friend and from the bottom of my heart I Love you deeply my friend. miss you Oscar

Trude:
You were the best neighbor that anyone could have had. It was always a delight to have a conversation with you and to cook for you because you liked everything. Any cat who had the good luck to find itself with you as its person was the luckiest cat ever. You were a funny, intelligent, compassionate, and generous woman and you will truly be missed. I know that you are in Heaven surrounded by all of your kitties and I know that is the way that you always wanted it to be.
My memories of you will aways be special to me.

Dear, dear Trudy: Why was this the ONE year that we neglected to call each other for our birthdays? I will always remember you for your love of animals (especially cats) while I was always the dog lover. Our days in Chicago were always fun and educational for me. I am sure that you went to kitty heaven to take care of cats who may have been lost or abused and now need your help. A sad time for me right now...rest in peace. Love, Mary Lou
