Gilbert Kammerer Obituary

Loving husband, father, and grandfather Gil Kammerer died at home on December 16 at the age of 87. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, he graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He met Mary Lou Lauxterman and married in 1963. Gil and Mary Lou moved with their three children to Del Mar, California in 1969. Gil worked for Spin Physics, Eastman Kodak, and many other companies where he created innovative solutions and his skills were in high demand. Gil had many hobbies, including sailing, photography, wine making, fishing, model airplanes, and woodworking. Gil was predeceased by his son, Matthew. He is survived by his wife of 59 years Mary Lou, son David, daughter Kristin Maithonis, daughter-in-law Denise (Day), son-in-law Charles, and three grandchildren, Jacob, Alyssa, and Zoe. The funeral mass will be held at St. James Catholic Church in Solana Beach. Private burial will be held at a later time.

I only now learn that you too, have lost your beloved husband. Most of those talented, wonderful men of Spin Physics are no more with us.
