John was my bishop when I was called to Hong Kong to serve a mission. I'll forever be grateful for his love, guidance, and time. Good things do come in small packages.

I first met Dr Alexander more than 40 years ago when I was a young plastic surgeon with very little experience. Dr Alexander was a wonderful teacher to me, he taught me a lot of technics in aesthetic surgery with great patience and dedication.
It is very sad to know of his departure, but I know that his sons and particularly John jr are up to his father.

John and Linda and their amazing children were our neighbors in Rancho Santa Fe for many, many years. We were so blessed having them in our community where John served on the Board of the R Roger Rowe Elementary School. Being the wonderful friend that he was our children who suffered football related cuts, bicycle accidents and lip lacerations always had John to suture them closed.
What a beautiful family they are and John will be dearly missed.
Lovingly, Don and Fernanda Sammis

John was my bishop in 1973 when I left for a two-year mission to Hong Kong. His kindness and love made a lasting impression in my life. Among the many achievements he accomplished during his years on this earth, I suggest John's greatest were these. I count him both a dear friend and mentor and will miss him until we meet again.

As a former RN for Dr. Alexander, hired part time by his able office admin. Alice Knoll I learned so much about precision and expertise of plastic surgery. He and Linda treated us like family. He is missed by so many ,a truly dedicated expert with a kind sense of humor.
