John Peters Obituary

John Dennis Peters September 28, 2015 san diego John Dennis Peters, 78, passed away peacefully in San Diego on September 28, 2015, of Cardiac arrest. He is survived by his wife Sandy; son JD; daughter Betsey Iko and her husband Jeff; grandchildren Jack and Kate; sister Mary; and niece Catherine Hendrie. After selling Peters and Peters Ad Agency in Milwaukee, John retired and moved to San Diego in 1983, where he has since resided. He loved Dixieland music, especially Friday nights at Tuba Man's with many friends listening to the High Society Jazz Band. He and Sandy spent many months in Park City where they hiked, skied, and watched sunsets and thunderstorms develop over the horizon. He has left us with happy memories of the house boat in Voyager National Park, cruising in the Caribbean and Alaska's Inside Passage. The sports page brought him pleasure each morning as he would peruse the prior day's events, reflect on the past, and contemplate tomorrow's outcome. His two dogs, Mitzie and Suzie, shared every day with him, gave him joy, and now the three of them celebrate together "Across Rainbow Bridge." John will be missed by those who knew and loved him for his wit and sarcasm, his creativity and "jingles." As per his request, no services are planned. May he rest in peace. We love you, Wamba John.
