Josephine King Obituary

Josephine Jo' King June 17, 1921 - February 21, 2017 San Diego Josephine Marie King passed away on Feb 21st at the age of 95. She began life in Buffalo, NY, one of ten siblings. Her parents were Italian immigrants who found a good, productive life in the United States. In 1967, Josephine moved to San Diego, a year after her only child, Patti Roscoe, had done so. Josephine spent a lifelong career as a waitress and was always a customer favorite. She was an avid bowler, at one time belonging to three leagues with trophies to prove it. She loved watching the Padres. One of her prized possessions was an autographed photo of Jerry Coleman in both his airman suit and Padres uniform. She also loved watching professional golf. Her favorite player was Phil Nicholson. Even into her nineties she enjoyed the excitement of a favorite casino or joining in singing at a local piano bar. She had a keen wit and enjoyed life to its fullest. A private celebration of life will be held at a future date.
