19 years later and the pain is still as real as it was the day you left us. Before I lost you and mom, I use to hear people say "It gets easier with time". But I have learned that that saying isn´t true. It never gets easier, the pain never goes away. Everyday after, you learn to live a new life. You learn to live without your loved ones. You find a new "normal" what ever normal can be.
I miss your smile, your laugh, your wisdom, and the way you always called me frog. I´m sad you never got to watch your grandchildren grow up, and a couple you sadly didn´t get to meet. I hope everyday that you are proud of the woman I have become, and proud that I finally married a man who is very much like you. I wish you could´ve met him, I could hear the debates yall would have about Ford vs Chevy lol.
I miss you daddy! Though I´m glad you are no longer in pain, I selfishly want you here with us.
I LOVE YOU!

Larry Allan Peterson what else can I say the name says it all. He was a great man, father, and friend. Those that knew him knew him well. He had a way about him that only people that knew him could explain. He could teach you things without you knowing that you had been taught. Make you realize things you didn't know and he would listen when you needed an ear. He taught me a lot that I am thankful for. He was a the most loving, caring, and thoughtful man I knew next to my dad. He would give the shirt off his back if someone needed it, reach out his hand if you needed help up or open his house if you need a place to stay. Like me, he helped so many others, some turned out good and others he just couldn't turn around, but he never gave up. I got lucky and married into a great family. Parenting isn't easy I know, I just hope I can be half the man he was. Larry I will see you again someday walking with Christ our Lord. So in the mean time keep those cars tuned up and we will take a couple of laps when I get there. Love you Larry Allan Peterson your work on earth is done so go rest high on that mountain.

My family moved in next door to the Petersons when I was about 7 years old. Kelly and I became instant best friends. Our families were constantly together. I was always over at their house or Kelly was at mine. Kelly and I put Larry and the rest of our families through many hours of dance routines and he was always a good sport. He was like a second dad to my sisters and I. I will forever keep you in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Peterson family as they deal with the loss. Love you all.

In my Father's house are many mansions, if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you....that where I am, there ye may be also. (John 14:1-3)

Dad, even though you were not my real father, you were a father to me in every way that counts. You raised me and taught me the things a father teaches his daughter. You were there for me when I needed someone, and I hope that I am half the parent that you were to me. You will be missed dearly, until we meet again. All my love.... Dawn

Dad...so many images come to mind
whenever I speak your name;
It seems without you in my life
things have never been the same.
What happened to those lazy days
when I was just a child;
When my life was consumed in you
in your love, and in your smile.
What happened to all those times
when I always looked to you;
No matter what happened in my life
you could make my gray skies blue.
Dad, some days I hear your voice
and turn to see your face;
Yet in my turning...it seems
the sound has been erased.
Dad, who will I turn to for answers
when life does not make sense;
Who will be there to hold me close
when the pieces just don't fit.
Oh, Dad, if I could turn back time
and once more hear your voice;
I'd tell you that out of all the dads
you would still be my choice.
Please always know I love you
and no one can take your place;
Years may come and go
but your memory will never be erased.
Today, Jesus, as You are listening
in your home above;
Would you go and find my dad
and give him all my love.

To my father, whom I miss so much. I know you are in a better place free from all your pain, and finally at peace. You will be missed by all who knew you. I will miss your laugh and your sarcastic sense of humor, however most of all I will miss our talks.
I wish with all my heart I could see you once more, I would use that moment and time to tell you how much love my heart holds for you and I shall never close that door.
Until we meet again. I love you.

I will always remember Larry as a person who was willing to give anyone a chance. He was willing to let his daughters friends stay at his home, for no matter how long, just a few hours or longer if need be. He was such a giving man. I'm so glad that you're in a better place Larry, we'll see you again someday.

I met Larry through Trey at the hospital, we went every week and it was great to go see him. I remember the first word he ever spoke to me as we were walking out of the room, HUG he said and when i gave him a hug he gently kissed me on the check, I will miss you Larry and i am happy you are in a better place with no pain.
