Leonard Bubko

Leonard Bubko, 74 OCEANSIDE ---- Leonard Bubko, 74, died of cancer, Friday, June 22, 2007, at home. Born Feb. 7, 1933, in Jersey City, NJ, he retired as a bartender in 1999. He served in the U.S. Navy in Brooklyn, NY and Orlando, Fla. Mr. Bubko was preceded in death by his mother Josephine Bubko in 1975; father Frank Bubko in 1988, and son Kenneth Bubko in 2001. He is survived by son Bradford of Elmwood NJ; daughter-in-law Maria Hitt of Jefferson, NY; daughter Kim Bubko of Hewit, NJ, and Lynn Bauer of Fallbrook; sister and brother-in-law Adele and Allen Holub of Fallbrook; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. A memorial was held on Tuesday, June 26, at Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside with the Rev. Michel Gagnon officiating. A private cremation with Inurnment was in Colonia, NJ. The family suggests memorial donations to The John Brockington Foundation, 1835 Fort Stockton Drive, San Diego, CA 92103. Cremation Services handled arrangements.
