Linda Cannon Obituary

Linda Cheesman Cannon passed away unexpectedly in her sleep in her home on August 25, just 6 days short of her 73rd birthday. She was born in Chula Vista to Grant and Florence Cheesman, was tormented by her sister, Susan, graduated from Chula Vista High School in 1968, spent a few years in Texas, then returned to SD/CV and spent the rest of her life here. Her husband, Bill, preceded her in death in 2021.
She excelled in math, so she became an accountant and tax preparer. She had a mobile service and also worked from her home while raising her 2 daughters, and continued to work until her passing.
She is survived by her sister, Susan (Alan Clements), daughters Stacy (Trever Cannon, children Ariana and Jayden) and Stephanie (Nathan Low, children Landis, Yvette, and Anson). Her stepchildren are Sharon, Darrell, Pamela, Celestie, Trever, William and Quincy and including several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren living around the country.
She was a great cook and loved to entertain family and friends. She was an excellent seamstress and, in addition, was skilled in hand-crafting blankets for newborns, family and friends, making Christmas decorations and greeting cards. She attended all family birthdays, celebrations, and grandchildren's sporting events. She was totally committed to her family.
She had been active in the LDS church until she was unable because of physical limitations. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and clients.
Final arrangements will be handled by the Trident Society.
