Thinking of you, Nancy. Five years already? Glad your Dad and my Mom are not here to see this Coronavirus craziness. We wouldnt be able to visit them. Stay safe. Lots of love.

John, Debbie and family, I'm so sorry for Lloyd's passing. Being a fellow displaced North Dakotan, I know that Gardena is close to Bottineau and up to now, didn't know anyone from that bitty town. May he rest in peace.

Nancy and Family, So sorry to hear of Lloyd's passing. I enjoyed getting to know him while he and my own mother were on the assisted living/skilled nursing "circuit" together. Such a great guy who was so proud of both his military and teaching careers. My thoughts are with you.

Lloyd was always a good friend and fellow teacher to us. It was a pleasure to see him on a daily basis at Washington Jr. High.
Never heard him say an unkind word about anyone during the many years that we knew him. We will miss his friendship and easygoing personality.

Mr. Volker was a very blessed man and had a wonderful supportive family. He is looking down at his children smiling knowing he will always be watching over them.

I am so sorry for the loss of your father - if the legacy of a parent, is their children - Lloyd Volker has a great legacy - I have worked with his son, John, for years - and his drive to be the best he can be is a reflection of his father. It is difficult to lose your father, regardless of his age - my thoughts are with the family. - Jeannette Rogers

Uncle Lloyd was my mothers youngest brother and a favorite of hers. When he moved his family to California, she wondered out loud if she would "ever see him and his family again". Of course she did and she and Lloyd remained close even given the distance between Minnesota and California. I last saw Lloyd in California in February of 2013 and enjoyed that short visit immensely. He was a wonderful uncomplaining kind man who will be missed by many family and friends. Nay he rest in peace.

Mr. Volker was my home room teacher at Washington Junior High School. I thought he was the best teacher at the school and I always looked forward to going to his class. He also live on the same street when I went to junior high school. I remember him playing pool with his friends every week. I could hear him and his friends having a great time as I was walking my dog in the cool evening air. He was a great man and he will be missed.
