I have yet to meet a more decent man. He was one of my professors at San Diego State University when I was a student there in the 80s. His thoughtful comments on my compositions made me a better writer and thinker. I owe him a great debt. My condolences to his family.

Lowell came into the NICU with a warm smile on his face and loved to whistle and snuggle the babies.

Lowell was a wonderful man! I loved with Lowell when he was in the nursery. His mild manner and kindness were evident in every word he spoke.

I was a summer school student from Marquette University who took Dr. Tozer's class on Emerson and Thoreau. He made the class absolutely fascinating with many extras such as Thoreau was very proud of his ability to ice skate. I am a retired high school teacher who remembers to this day many poignant asides that made this class so memorable. I still tutor at Torrey Pines High and just yesterday used one of De. Tozer's quotes. He was a gifted
man and an inspiring teacher. I will remember him for the rest of my life. Condolences to his loved ones. I feel as if I am a better teacher and person from my experiences with this ONE summer school class(1963).
