Mr. Knapp was my 6th grade teacher at Walker Elementary in Mira Mesa 1979-80.
I vividly and often remember how much of an impact he had on my life through his enthusiasm for the outdoors and wildlife. To this day, it matters greatly!
I remember the numerous interesting reptiles we kept in class in terrariums, our discussions of the great outdoors, our discussions on the Mt Saint Helens eruption and his connection to that area.
Every day in Mr. Knapp's class was a greatly anticipated adventure!
So very sorry to hear of your untimely passing dear Mr. Knapp.
You are missed, ...but the impact of your life lives on!

I knew Mark in high school. He was a really good guy as were his parents.
