Mary Catherine (Howard) Lind May 18, 1941 - June 25, 2018 Delmar, CA Eighteen months after a diagnosis of brain cancer Mary left this world peacefully at home with her husband and children at her side. Born in Pasadena, Ca, Mary attended Catholic grade schools, Academy of Our Lady of Peace, Saint Mary's College (Indiana) and the University of San Diego. Not surprisingly she lived every day with a high sense of duty and clear moral compass. Mary was the matriarch of our family and raised four children fulfilling all their needs yet still finding time for many civic, social and school volunteer activities. A prize winning seamstress and accomplished pianist Mary also was noted for her success as a bridge player. She loved good conversation and had a special place in her heart for children. Her husband of 56 years and many others she met in her 77 years felt she was truly beautiful inside and out. Children: Peter Lind of Greenville, Ca, Jeanne Lind of Del Mar, Ca, John (Chris) Lind, of Cardiff, Ca and Michael Lind of San Francisco; husband David Lind of Del Mar and Taylorsville, Ca. Grandchildren: Loren, Milan, Taryn, Laura, Noah, Kai and Lucia. Our lives will simply never be the same. A small private gathering is planned.
