While I've been kept informed of what Melissa has been doing over the years from Alba, I still remember Melissa as that sweet, quiet girl in my 4th grade class who loved animals. As she got older, she was so good with my own children when her mom took care of them when they were babies/toddlers. Melissa had so many gifts to share, and it's so sad that she was taken from this world at such a young age. I pray for the family and will keep my memories of her in a special place.

Ms. Taylor was one of my daughter's teachers and I thought she was very kind and patient, and always had a positive and upbeat attitude. She will be missed at school. We send our condolences to her family.

Ms. Taylor was a great teacher. I spent time with her at school last school year and I will miss her. She was very kind and she let students not play games if they didn't want to. Emma (a student at TIEE).

Melissa was such a gentle and kind person. She always looked on the bright side of life and had a ready smile for everyone. The students at TIEE loved being in her music class. I loved to talk to her about gardening, rabbits, and vegetarian cooking. I will miss seeing her smiling face everyday at work. Suzanne Deal

Melissa was an amazing teacher to her students! I always enjoyed the times that we would exchange stories from our day at work. We had many great laughs! She had such a beautiful and contagious smile!
I am proud to have had her as a co-worker, peer, and as a mentor to look up to at work! She was a pretty special and incredible woman!
Sending my love, thoughts, and prayers to Melissa's family during the amazingly difficult time.
