I am saddened to hear of Mike's passing. His guidance and leadership was invaluable to his firm, and to me personally. I'll always remember him enthusiastically stating, "Don't tell me why it can't be done, show me how it can be done!" I haven't seen him in many years, but will miss him just the same. My condolences to all of his family, friends and to all the members of Duckor Spradling Metzger & Wynne.

On behalf of the Duckor Spradling Metzger & Wynne law firm, please accept our deepest condolences on Mike's passing.
All of us are grateful to Mike for his role in co-founding this business. We continue to enjoy the benefits of that decision and his work over the years. Mike was not only a formidable attorney, but a man who gave much to his family, co-workers and community. We know that the many happy memories of Mike's life with all of you, with time, will overcome the sadness that you are feeling now. We wish you peace and know that words cannot begin to express the sadness you are feeling right now. We were happy to spend some time in December 2016 with Mike and Linda at the firm's holiday party. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Your friends at Duckor Spradling Metzger & Wynne

The last time I spoke with Mike was at Joe Neeper's Celebration of Life at the Zoo. We spoke about Joe mostly, but also about fast cars (which I knew he liked) and motorcycles (something I did not know Mike had any interest in!) I had just started riding a street bike, and suggested we go for a ride soon. I regret that I never called to make that happen.

Mike was an impressive and outstanding gentleman. Not only was he professionally a top level lawyer, but he was a man of variable abilities, talents and ethical standards. He and his law firm have a very exemplary record in the history of California legal activities and Mike was one of the shining lights of our profession. I valued his friendship enormously and feel very depressed that he has departed at such a young age.
