Michael Stephen Mazzone

Michael Stephen Mazzone August 10, 1957 - November 25, 2016 El Cajon - Michael "Mike" Mazzone born to James and Evelyn Mazzone was one of the first born at Sharp Maternity in Kearny Mesa. At an early age he developed a curiosity for mechanics that led him to his life's work in welding and fabrication. For several years he owned and operated his business of producing dune buggies, Mazzone Sand Cars. He was happiest when he was driving his dune buggy or flying his airplane. Mike was a thrill seeker that lived life to the fullest. He passed away at the age of 59 in a tragic airplane accident in the place he loved, Glamis. Mike is preceded in death by his loving mother, Evelyn and survived by his father, James Mazzone; his son Steven Michael Mazzone; his uncle Greg Mazzone and family; his uncle Richard Mazzone and family; and his former wife, Diana and her children Anthony and Angela. Mike was a loving man with a passion for flying and off-roading. He always had jokes to brighten a person's day. Mike was loved by all his family and many friends and will never be forgotten.
