Mike was my neighbor growing up on Elmcrest Ave. We played in the woods out back of his house, and together we built a tree house. Not a very good one but we had lots of fun out there. I remember one day Mike was sawing a board with a hand saw for out tree house. My head somehow got in the way and I received 20 little holes in my forehead. Not much blood but we sure laughed later. Mike had a pool table in his basement and we played many games, he was very competitive. His family took me to their cabin and taught me how to water ski, Mike and brother Jim driving the boat really put me through the paces of water skiing. Mike was very intelligent and I knew he would do well in life. Today he popped into my mind and I thought I would look him up, I ended up reading his obituary.
Thanks Mike for all the great memories! God bless you my friend and your family.

Mike set the standards in high school,in his profession, his faith, as a father and veteran. Mike served his country, community, his God and family. What more should be expected? I attended school with Mike from K-12.I have many fond memories with Mike in class, sporting events, and camping in my backyard. He always bragged about his dad and brother. We have lost a TRUE HERO! Though God has gained a WARRIER! The Shield of Faith, the Praying Veterans and my family have added his family to our prayer list. Glory to God, USAF retired,Eagle Scout.

I am so sorry for your loss. I cannot even begin to imagine what it must be like to lose your child or brother, regardless of their age. I graduated with Jim and MaryAnn, and if my memory serves me correctly, my sister, Nancy, served at one of the proms with Mike and had their picture taken together. He will be deeply missed.
My prayers for comfort and healing for all of his family.
