Per Borgström Obituary
Per remained in the university town of Lund until 1985, when he received his Ph.D. in Physiology. He spent his summers in Falsterbo, Sweden, where he was an avid birdwatcher and golf player. This is also where he learned to sail and participated in several races around the southern Swedish and Danish islands.
In 1985, he and his family moved to La Jolla, CA, where he pursued a career in science, leading to research in the field of prostate cancer treatment. At his death, Per was the CEO of PellFiCure Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a prostate cancer treatment company based on his science and research.
In La Jolla, Per also enjoyed growing orchids in his green house and restoring old hickory golf clubs.
Per is predeceased by his brother Anders and his parents.
He is survived by his wife Eva and sons, Jonas, Henrik, and Peter and their families.
Per is also survived by his sisters Mia, Pia, and Anna and their families in Sweden.
A private celebration of life will be held in Lexington, MA with his closest family.
Pelle will be sorely missed and will stay forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance in memory of Per G. Borgstrom, For the Condors at the Safari Park, online at www.sdzwa.org/memorial or mailed to San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, P.O. Box 120551, San Diego, CA 92112.

I am very sorry to hear of Pelle's death. He and I were colleagues as scientists while he was in LA Jolla. I was in the U S Army at the time. He was among the finest scientists I ever knew. Science was his work but family was his pleasure. I will always treasure my association with Pelle.
