Randy Robbins Obituary

Randy Robbins SAN DIEGO -- Randy Robbins passed away in San Diego August 18, 2015, after a long illness. He is survived by sisters Ann Robbins and Beverly Lachman, nieces Jackie Hester, Kim Villanueva, Aimee Hansen, and Hillary Lachman, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was a 1967 graduate of Crawford High School and graduated with honors from UCLA. His first job out of college was working as a Researcher on The Dinah Shore Show and he went on to work for many years on The Young and Restless soap opera where he was nominated 10 times for an Emmy and won 4 for directing. He ended his career, due to illness, after many years as a director on Days of Our Lives. His family was very proud of his accomplishments and will miss him.

I knew Randy at UCLA when we worked at the national theatre. I also sang at Beverly's wedding. I'm so sorry for his passing.

Though not acquainted with Randy Robbins personally, since I graduated in the first class to go all the through at Crawford (1960), wish to extend my sincere sympathies to one and all in the Randy Robbins family, and most sincere best wishes to sustain you family members, as you reflect on his character, and many accomplishments.
