Robert J. Plein

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend passed away on April 1, 2024 at the age of 81 at home with his wife and daughter by his side. Robert (Bob) was born on September 18, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Nicholas and Gertrude Plein. The family eventually moved to Southern California in 1944. Bob graduated from Pacific High School in San Bernardino in 1960. He joined the United States Air Force in 1963 and served for 4 years. After many years of working in different phases of construction and property development Bob retired from Hermosa Construction Corporation in August 2005.Bob spent his retirement years golfing, daily workouts at his favorite gym and taking care of his family (always his first priority). He was also a loyal Los Angeles Rams fan from a young age until his passing.Bob was the loving husband of his wife, Bonnie Plein, and is also survived by his daughter, Deborah Kramer and 2 adult grandsons, Nicholas and Alexander Kramer, sister Mary Stevens (Arlen) of Highland, CA and brother, William Plein (Margy) of Silverton, OR along with many nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: James, Paul and John and sisters: Katherine Edenfield and Patricia Smith. NOTE: Mary Stevens passed April 3, 2024.Throughout his 81 years, Bob was a man of his word and a man you could depend on. Family meant everything to him and always came first. He was also the most loyal friend you could ever ask for.Private services are pending at this time.
