Stanley attended Occidental College and graduated Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude. He served during the Korean War in the 775th Air Force Band and was stationed in Tucson, Ariz., where he met his wife, Georgia. I worked with Stan and Plog Research for many years while I headed up Northwest Airlines Marketing Research Department. He was a wealth of knowledge on the industry and a gentleman to work with. My sympathies to his family.

I never met Dr Plog, but I red his books. My personal contact with him was through email correspondence only. I found he was very kind, helpful and very wise. For me, he is my teacher, my professor. I did learn a lot from his books and his email writings. Goodbye teacher.........! (rizal koto (Indonesia)

I knew Stanley only a short time, and had the privilege of helping care for him in his final days. I was touched by his clarity of mind, politeness and sense of humor. He was a grand gentleman and I will always remember him with fondness.
