I worked with Steve in Alaska on the Nicole N fish prossesser in 1984. He was Very respectful and friendly coworker! I was the cook on the boat. I was 19. The majority of the crew were men, many of them creepy! Steve was very respectful and an advocate. We were friends. I continued my work as a industrial cook and found a job in Antarctica. While passing through LA, to sign my contract Steve and I were able to reconnect. We spent the day catching up. Just falling back into our friendship. Because Steve was that kind of guy. He reached out to me on Facebook. But I was too late to reply. I just googled him and sadly found his memorial. I'm glad he had a family and was able to share his love with you!

It seemed that there was always a smile in his countenance. An" Oh Well, let´s keep going" attitude. Peace to Michele, John, Kelly and Griff.
