Susan Ebel Obituary

Susan May Ebel was born on August 24, 1943, in Wichita, Kansas. She died on May 20, 2022, in San Diego, CA. She is survived by two brothers, Paul Ebel and David Ebel; two sisters-in-law; six nephews and nieces, and thirteen grand-nephews and nieces. Susan was predeceased by her long time companion, Bob Plagge.
Susan got both an Undergraduate and a Master's Degree from the University of Kansas and worked for a variety of companies, including Hallmark Cards, Honeywell, and Rohr. She was a gifted artist, taking after her mother, Irma Ebel. In her retirement, she worked in many mediums and styles, creating treasured pieces of art for family and friends.
But what will be most remembered and missed are her generous spirit, infectious laughter, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in those around her. She brought love and joy wherever she went.

Susan was a wonderful, caring manager. She went out of her way to help the less fortunate and was so thoughtful. She will always be one of the most thoughtful caring people in the workplace I have ever met. Love her and she was so funny and smart but always made everyone feel good, she was an angle!

Wow! A year just flew by. Anyone reading this has had thoughts of Susan over the last year. Hope all her family, extended family and friends have healed over this time. Big pleasure meeting her family when they were here. Open invitation to drop by if you are ever in the neighborhood.

Condolences to the extended family of Susan. She was my neighbor and friend. She gave my younger son his 1st job (taking care of Iffy the cat and house sitting) and his 1st job reference when starting his career. We take are neighbors for granted sometimes then miss them when they are gone. I enjoyed meeting her family while they were here and I wish them all the best.
Kindest Regards, Richard
