Theodore Gunn Obituary


Theodore Lynn "Tom" Gunn, a native of San Diegan, passed on November 5, 2022, in Hua Hin, Thailand. He was 73.
Tom grew up in El Cajon, where he distinguished himself early on as a talented musician, vocalist, and composer.
His career included lead guitar on " I Can See Clearly Now" and "Stir It Up" with the Johnnie Nash Band and a performance at Carnegie Hall in Frank Sinatra's orchestra.
His music lives on in two original albums, "Shadawmon, Siam Escapeartist " and "Tomy Gunn, Hot Summer Nights."
He was a popular sideman in numerous groups in Los Angeles, Jamaica, and Hawaii.
He spent his final years as an herbalist and operated "Siam Natural" health supplements from his beloved Thailand.
He is survived by sisters, Deborah Small and Bev Holle, brothers Louis, Fred, and Francis, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was cremated in Temple, and ashes were scattered at sea.
