Jessie Marie Enstad, 98, residing in Sandusky, passed away Monday, August 11, 2025, at her daughter's home.
Jessie was born on February 16, 1927, in Paris, Illinois, to the late George and Ellen (Davis) Barnett.
Jessie was employed with Muir Drugs, Plumbrook Country Club, Montgomery Ward and J.C. Penney's before retiring after many years of service. She was a member of Christ Community Church, Red Hat Society, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, J.C. Penney's and Berardi's coffee groups. In her spare time, she enjoyed browsing flea markets and garage sales, attending Sunday school and church. She also took great pride in living a long, full life; long enough to piss off the government.
Jessie is survived by her daughter, Susan (Scott) Johnson; many extended family members, nieces, nephews, and in-laws whom she treated as her own.
In addition to her parents, Jessie is preceded in death by husband, Richard E. Enstad, in 2011; brother, Jack Barnett; two sisters, Grace Ellen Barnett and Alberta Bogardus; and a brother in infancy.
Friends may call Friday, August 15, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Meadow Green Funeral Home, 2602 Bogart Road, Huron, Ohio 44839, with Pastor Erin Porter officiating. Entombment will follow in Meadow Green Memorial Park.

Jessie was truly a gem. I worked with Jessie at JC Penney and was in an investment club with her. Sorry to hear that she passed.... she did have a good long life with many, many friends over the years. My sympathies to the family.

JESSIE WAS SUCH A SWEET FRIEND AND LOYAL BUDDY TO MY MOTHER, YVONNE TAYLOR. I ENJOYED WHEN I GOT TO VISIT WITH HER AT MOM'S HOME. May God bless her very kind heart and bless her family.
