Annette Bray Obituary

Annette Bray
July 1, 1947 - November 21, 2021
Arroyo Grande, California - Marie Annette Bray passed away on November 21, 2021, after a short illness. Her niece, Rebeccah Martin, took care of her during the last months of her life, while her daughter, Tricia, took care of her during her final moments. Annette's ashes were scattered at sea per her wishes.
Annette was born in a small Catholic hospital in Deer Lodge, Montana, on July 1, 1947, weighing 3 lbs. and 4 oz., followed by her twin, Antoinette, weighing 2 lbs. and 1 oz. Against all odds, both survived due to the exceptional care they received from the nuns who ran the hospital. Annette attended St. Patrick School in Butte, Montana, and graduated from Jefferson HS in Portland, Oregon. She moved to California with her first husband, Sgt. Dewayne Woods, during the height of the Vietnam war. She later divorced and remarried Robert Barry Bray and had two children with him. She graduated from Cuesta College as a Psychiatric Technician and worked for many years in the field. After being injured on the job, she changed career paths and worked as an Employment Resource Specialist for Santa Barbara County until her retirement.
Annette loved her family, babies, and the color purple. She was deeply spiritual and loved Jesus. And now she has gone home to be with Him.
Annette is survived by: her two daughters, Macesca Bray of Modesto, CA, and Tricia Cuccia of San Carlos, CA, and her two grandchildren, Saige Jungclaus of Parker, CO, and Caden Cuccia of Santa Maria, CA. She leaves behind siblings Molly Unger Dreger, Michael Kipp, Kevin Kipp, Patrick Kipp, numerous nieces and nephews, and her best friend of over 50 years, Toni Elkins. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Kipp and Henry Unger, and her siblings, Antoinette Smidt and Dennis Kipp.
