Brian Machado Obituary

Brian Machado

December 21, 1962 - August 19, 2024

Cayucos, California - Brian Machado, a devoted family man and respected member of his community, passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024. Born on December 21, 1962, in Paterson, CA, Brian grew up in Turlock and later moved to Cayucos, where he continued to build a life full of love and community.

Brian was the beloved father of two sons, Ethan and Jake Machado. Ethan is married to Katie Machado, and together they have a son, Malachi. Jake is married to Alexis Machado, and they have a daughter, Ellerie, Brian's cherished granddaughter.

Brian is also survived by his father, Joe Machado, who was a significant influence in his life. Brian's passion for baseball began early and continued through his college years, where he played baseball at Merced College before continuing at Chico State. His love for the sport extended into his professional life, where he spent 15 years coaching Coast Union baseball, touching the lives of many young athletes and becoming a mentor and friend to all who knew him.

Professionally, Brian served as a Postmaster, earning the respect of his colleagues and the community with his dedication and strong work ethic.

Brian will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to his family, and the positive impact he had on everyone he met. His legacy lives on through his sons, Ethan and Jake, and his beloved grandchildren, Malachi and Ellerie.

A service to honor Brian's life will be held with close friends and family. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to help cover funeral and legal expenses. Contributions can be made through the family's GoFundMe page at [https://gofund.me/6392f216](https://gofund.me/6392f216). If you are unable to donate, sharing the link would be greatly appreciated.

Brian will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be laid to rest at Cayucos Cemetery on Friday, August 30th, at 1 p.m.

Brian was my boss when I worked at Cayucos Post office. He was absolutely wonderful and very pleasant to work with, always had time to listen and I considered him a friend. I am so sorry for his loved ones.

I have known Brian since the 90s when many of us moved to Cambria to raise our families. His sons and mine were good friends; he was a loving and involved father, a coach, a friend to many. We are all fortunate to have known him.

Joe, Ethan, and Jake, so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you during this sorrowful time. So thankful that Brian got to see some grandchildren. Way too young but when you lose someone you love there is never a good time. I know there are lots of good memories so keep those in mind when you grieve.
