David Stevens Obituary
April 29, 1950 - May 12, 2021
Cayucos, California - Dave Stevens was born at General Hospital in San Luis Obispo in 1950. He lived his entire life in Cayucos where his parents built one of the first houses on E Street in the 1940's. Dave and his wife Paula raised two sons in Cayucos and he helped run the Central Coast Little League from 1988 to 1995. Dave drove buses for Silverado Stages and Hearst Castle in the 1970s. He became a mortgage and real estate broker in the 1980s and ran the H&R Block franchise in Morro Bay in the 1990s. In the 2000s he became a real estate appraiser, and his eldest son has followed in his footsteps as an appraiser. He owned a boat and enjoyed Salmon fishing in Estero Bay. Dave also enjoyed building hot rods, glass blowing and wood carving. Dave is survived by his wife Paula, his son Andy and his wife Chelsea, his son Daniel and his wife Darcy, and his grandsons Riley and Miles.

I lived in the Stevens’ studio apartment on E Street for about 5 years in the 70’s. Stella was like my mom/friend and Dave was like my wild and crazy, fun-loving brother. I’ll always treasure my time spent on E Street. I adored Stella and as years passed, when I ran into Dave it felt like we’d just seen each other. Paula, Andy and Daniel I’m so sorry for your loss-Dave was bigger than life and leaves behind lots of funny stories to tell and great memories.
